Cole's Corner: Just saying hello!

Not a lot to report so far this year, just getting back in the groove of things with school and work. It was nice having those extra days off during the holidays! Can I have more please? :) We've had some crazy weather so far this year, last weekend we were outside playing in short sleeves. There have only been a few days with cool temperatures and by that I mean in the 40's. Don't get me wrong, it's been awesome to be outside.. it's just wild to consider this the "winter" season when it doesn't feel like it. Only in Texas! Mr. C has had a good school year so far, he's working really hard. They are now sending books home for him to read at night which is great because he loves to read. It's such a joy to see him reading, he's growing up so fast. He is still going to speech therapy twice a week, he is so excited because Ms. Anita got an IPAD with some cool learning apps. This kid can't get enough of technology, he loves it!!! He's on a roll right now with his sessions, he's been doing so well he's been able to get a toy out of the prize box for a couple of weeks which is an extra special treat. Go Bubba Love! His next appt at Texas Children's is going to be in February, this is going to be the first laser treatment for the telangiectasia. These are the enlarged red blood vessels on his sweet little cheeks and chin. They think he'll have to go through about 2-3 rounds of laser treatments. He will be sedated for this, but they say the recovery time is easy and with it being the winter season we don't have to worry about him being out in the sun so much. We have thought about this for a while and we feel he's getting at the age where he is ready. That's about all the news I have right now. Love ya!
