Pure Sweetness!!

One of Cole's biggest fascinations right now is the moon and stars. Everyday when you pick him up from daycare he wants to see where the moon is. The first picture below is of Cole and Roxy looking for the moon one evening. He now understands the concept that the moon comes out in the evening and we enjoy the beautiful sunshine during the day. I thought the picture was so sweet, he loves his Roxy... it's almost an obsession at times. :) I remember the day when Mr. C was a little baby, and could crawl and lay all over her. This whole growing up thing can be tough on a Mommy, it has it's perks but sometimes you want your little one to stay your baby forever. Who would have thought a 4 year old would already have such a big opinion about things... what to eat, what to wear, what to read, when and where we should play. He has a break from big school for two weeks so he's spending all day at daycare. He also doesn't have his after school speech for two weeks, and I think he was ready for a break. It's a lot of hard work, and he deserves some serious playtime! He goes to Texas Children's next week for some quick test. They didn't do the HHT (Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia) test the last time we were down because they thought it was his Vitamin K levels that were causing the nose bleeds and other issues. But it turns out all the test came back normal so they would like to do the HHT test. This is a disorder that results in the development of multiple abnormalities in the blood vessels. They are wondering if this is what's causing the little broken blood vessels in his face and nosebleeds as well.
And on a fun note, he's decided that Santa's not so bad after all this year. Last year, he wanted nothing to do with him. He just wanted the jolly ole man to leave the goodies under the tree and vanish without a sight. Ha... boy was I wrong this year! I took him to the mall again, and to my surprise he sat in his lap and even stayed long enough to get a picture. We hope everyone has a safe and Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year! I love this time of year, it's a great reminder of all the wonderful things we are blessed with in life. It's nice to see people coming together, and listening to the kids laugh and play is always a joy. Life can be tough with the daily struggles your dealt with and it can easily bring you down, but it feels so good to put all that energy into positive thoughts. Not always an easy task, but making an effort is well worth it. I'll post some pictures later of Cole and all the festivities. Merry Merry! :)
