Cole's Corner: Is Fall really here?

I cannot believe how quickly the summer went by and now it’s back to school we go. Cole was really happy to be back, he missed all his friends and really missed his sweet teachers. We are so lucky with this bunch, I’ve never met a group of teachers that have so much love for their students. And Cole must be enjoying it because he walks up to school with a big smile on his face and every time he walks into the classroom he has to give everyone a hug. It makes you feel good as a parent to know your kid is in great hands. They keep the learning activities so interesting; the kids are having so much fun they don’t realize its actual “work” they are doing. These kids are so inspiring to watch, each of them has their own “challenges” but they have such a happy outlook on life. I love checking out his folder everyday to see what projects they worked on. I’m still in that stage where I can’t throw anything away, I have a huge Tupperware that is filling up quickly. Even if it’s a sheet of paper with beans glued on, it’s artwork to me. :) He gets speech therapy through school and then he goes twice a week in the evenings. And we usually work together before he goes to bed a few nights a week. And in between all of that he still has time for lots of playing. I don’t see where this kid gets all his energy, but it’s wayyyy up there. I think my eyes are closed before my head even hits the pillow. We go to Houston next week to get his eyeballs checked out. Hopefully there has been no change and we get a good report.

Loves spaghetti… reading books non stop…. MORE and MORE independent…Mickey Mouse Mania…. Potty training still in progress… Loves Loves motorcycles….Dangerous with markers (washable for a reason)… Excited about football season (no choice in our family)…. Does not like the word “no” (total meltdown)…. Super sociable…. Muffins Muffins and more Muffins… Rocks out on his keyboard… Loves the outdoors…. Lil fish… Loves dogs wherever we go…
